  The Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation is a national private non-profit organization that promotes education and preservation of the Lewis and Clark experience.
 
  "Discovering Lewis and Clark" includes a nineteen-part synopsis of the expedition by historian Harry Fritz, illustrated with selections from the journals of the expedition, photographs, maps, animated graphics, moving pictures, and sound files. This site is regularly updated.

  This National Geographic Lewis and Clark site includes an interactive journey log, a timeline, and maps.
 
  This is the site for the National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial. The National Council works in cooperation with state, federal, and tribal governments, and all interested individuals and organizations, to promote educational programs, cultural sensitivity and harmony, and the sustaining stewardship of natural and historical resources along the route of the Expedition. This site provides a schedule of national Lewis and Clark signature events, 2003-2006.

  A part of the Wisconsin State Historical Society website, the American Journeys project includes digital images of the complete eight volume Thwaites edition of the Lewis and Clark journals.
     
  University of Nebraska Press, the publisher of the thirteen volume Moulton edition of the Lewis and Clark journals (the most comprehensive edition), has been placing portions of the journals online. The texts available allow easy comparisons between the journals of Lewis, Clark, Ordway, Gass, Whitehouse, and Floyd.
